I wonder if you might have gotten a bad fuel solenoid? We do not have a lot of issues with those pumps.

It definitely has an issue with the hydraulics and the first thing that comes to mind is the hitch lever might be out of adjustment. Try lowering the hitch lever a bit from the high position and see if the engine runs a little easier. They will get out of adjustment some times.

Mine barked no matter who it was. The way he barked to know him was different if a family friend or a stranger. He was a weimaraner and intimidating if you didn't know him for many. Had a lot of fun with him! Loved to travel and hunt as well as fish! lol

You say there is no seat safety switch so that means it might have been removed? Check the wiring.

Unfortunately air is thinner then fluid and you may have an air leak but no fluids to help you find it! I would say you have a problem! If it was a fuel line it would be rare if all four were to go bad. A lift pump could bleed back into the base giving an over fill condition when checking oil. The injection pump could also be the issue allowing it to bleed back.

Good call Murf and it could be an air pressure issue that caused it! To test to see if he has axle wrap could help isolate the issue. Do do that drive with the four wheel drive engaged on paved or hard surfaces and see how it disengages when you stop. If it is difficult and you have to steer or raise the front with the loader then you need to balance the tire pressures. Typically I start with about 10 lbs of air in the rear.

The snapping makes me think you already have a problem. This is often caused by an unbalanced drive line from tire diameters. When driving on hard surfaces can you engage and disengage the four wheel drive easily? If not this could be the better part of the problem. Your tire pressures are what can make it work easily or be a problem! To pick up the front end of the tractor with a loader after driving on hard surfaces do your front tires rotate? That will also tell you you have an issue of balance.

At the time I believe Kubota was just using three point backhoes not the subframe units. During that time it was not as common for manufacturers of tractors to have the breakage of the center sections of the tractors although it was coming quickly for several brands.

Make sure your thermostat is closing or at least that the engine is coming up to the proper temperature. Cold diesels do not burn all the fuel only partially and that will come out the exhausts!

Try connecting the hydraulic lines up to the other side of the valve and see if it works then. Many times the quick disconnects go bad and is the only problem.

I would ask you what are you going to be doing the most with the tractor? I don't know how much of the discing you might be doing vs the brush hogging? I would recommend the gear if you are mainly discing for fuel usage. The hydro is the best for the brush hogging on all accounts.
The thought of other potential drivers is a major plus for the hydro as there are many who can't drive a stick shift!!!!!
I don't really care about the horsepower loss of the hydro as I have witnessed the hydro out mow a gear drive to many times! As a matter of fact I have never seen a gear drive tractor keep up with a hydro doing PTO work!!!!

The easiest way is to remove the deck and the drive belt first! It is pretty much self explanatory as it is spring tension tightened. We often print the parts pages which help the customers find their way easier. I would check the idler/tensioner to make sure the bearings and the pulley are still in good operational condition!!!!!

The hood opening is a little lever on the dash to the right of the steering column, The hydraulic fill is on the back of the differential in the center top. The dip stick is to the left of it.

for what you have stated it probably isn't low.

Do to changes a few years back many recommended horsepowers are now on engine not PTO horsepower! I'd look at several makes and look at the size of the flails which is what will demand the horsepower as well as what you are cutting. Lighter flails require less horsepower which also is the determining factor in how big of stock you can cut!
The B-20 chassis is not your typical compact tractor chassis which means you could be able to pull the box blade although the amount of load you can carry may vary to the tractor and conditions.

Hate to say it but that is not unusual for the dry rotting at that year! Often you are about the same price for the tires as you might be for tires and rims from Kubota! Check your dealer!

The hours don't bother me as we have them out with far more hours on them and still working fine. Kubotas when used properly we see as many hours on them as the larger tractors often going past the 10,000 hour mark. The price if the machine is right is a great price.
When I say it is right takes into consideration cosmetics! A machine that is banged up often has had no better care given to the mechanicals. Otherwise you could spend more and buy less of a tractor.
